    What You Need

    E-bikes and electric scooters sold in the EU fall under multiple directives simultaneously: the Machinery Regulation (for the mechanical and electrical systems), the Battery Regulation EU 2023/1542 (for the lithium battery), the EMC Directive (electromagnetic compatibility), and the Low Voltage Directive (electrical safety). Each directive requires separate testing, documentation, and conformity assessment. Additionally, battery EPR registration is required in each EU country where you sell.
